Terror of Air Travel As Iceland Volcano Erupts:

Iceland's airports were closed on Sunday and all the flights around the country had been diverted. A volcano Grimsvotn erupted on Saturday sending smoke and ash up to 12 miles into the sky which upset the travel and global trade. The cloud of smoke was seen rising from Grimsvoetn around 1900 GMT and within no time it reached an altitude of 6.8 miles.
This eruption of Iceland's most active volcano came after a year of the Eyjafjoell causing air travel chaos.
The airports would be shut till Monday noon atleast. The affected passengers are advised to contact the airlines. Geophysicists said that the eruption is expected to lay less impact on international flights as compared to the damage caused last year's explosion.
